Oasis said Sunday (Aug. 3) that its members are “shocked and saddened” after a man fell to his death during a concert held by the band at London’s Wembley Stadium.

The Metropolitan Police force said officers and paramedics responded to reports of an injured person just before 10:30 (21:30 GMT) on Saturday night.

It said a man in his 40s was found “with injuries consistent with a fall.” He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The force urged anyone who saw what happened or caught it on phone video to contact police.

“We are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show last night,” Oasis said in a statement obtained by The Associated Press, offering ”sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved.”

Stadium management said Sunday’s gig would go ahead as planned.

In a statement published by The Hollywood Reporter, a Wembley spokesperson confirmed, “Last night, Wembley Stadium medics, the London Ambulance Service and the police attended to a concertgoer who was found with injuries consistent with a fall. Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died. Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers. The Police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.”

Oasis’ first tour in 16 years kicked off July 4 in Cardiff, Wales. Saturday’s concert was the fourth of seven planned shows at Wembley. The tour continues in North America, Asia, Australia and South America after its European run.

It’s round two for Melanie “Mel B” Brown and Rory McPhee. Just one month after tying the knot in London, Brown and her hairstyling husband have said “I do” once again — this time in a romantic celebration in Morocco.

The former Spice Girls singer and America’s Got Talent judge, 50, and her longtime love, 37, hosted their second wedding at city’s five-star hotel Selman Marrakech. On Sunday (Aug. 3), the couple shared a joyful Instagram post featuring a snapshot from the special day.

“We got married!!! Again!” the pair wrote. “A wedding so good we keep the celebration going with our closest and dearest in our fav place at @selmanmarrakech ❤️❤️❤️ we had the time of our lives!!”

In the snapshot, Brown and McPhee are captured dancing down a long white aisle lined with red and white flowers, set against a stunning architectural backdrop. For the occasion, Mel B — known to fans as “Scary Spice” — wore a red gown by Justin Alexander, while McPhee complemented her look in a black and white tuxedo.

The couple’s first wedding took place on July 5 at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London. Guests included Brown’s Spice Girls bandmate Emma “Baby Spice” Bunton, as well as models Cara Delevingne and Daisy Lowe.

Following the ceremony, Brown’s America’s Got Talent family flooded the comments of her Instagram post with congratulations. Sofia Vergara and host Terry Crews shared heart emojis, while fellow judge Heidi Klum offered a heartfelt message. Spice Girls bandmates Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham and Melanie “Mel C” Chisholm also chimed in with celebratory messages.

Brown’s three daughters served as bridesmaids for the first ceremony. Her eldest, Phoenix, 26, is from her first marriage to dancer Jimmy Gulzar (1998–2000); Angel Iris, 18, is from her relationship with comedian Eddie Murphy; and Madison, 13, is from her marriage to Stephen Belafonte (2007–2017).

Mel B and McPhee met in 2018 and got engaged in 2022.

Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem returns to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart (dated Aug. 9), racking up a ninth nonconsecutive week atop the tally. The set rises 2-1 and earned 143,000 equivalent album units in the week ending July 31 (up 1%) according to Luminate. I’m the Problem debuted at No. 1 on the May 31-dated chart and spent it first eight weeks in the pole position.

Also in the top 10 of the latest Billboard 200, TOMORROW X TOGETHER collects its seventh top 10-charted effort with the No. 3 debut of The Star Chapter: TOGETHER; YoungBoy Never Broke Again lands his sweet 16th top 10 with the No. 6 bow of MASA; and Tyler Childers achieves his highest-charted album (and third top 10) with the No. 7 launch of Snipe Hunter.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The new Aug. 9, 2025-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on Aug. 5. Of I’m the Problem’s 143,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending July 31, SEA units comprise 137,000 (up 2%, equaling 180.43 million on-demand official streams of the set’s songs — it leads Top Streaming Albums for a 10th nonconsecutive week), album sales comprise 5,000 (down 23% — it falls 15-16 on Top Album Sales) and TEA units comprise 1,000 (up 30%).

Cumulatively, Wallen’s three No. 1 albums (I’m the Problem, One Thing at a Time and Dangerous: The Double Album) have spent a total of 38 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. That sum solely gives Wallen the fifth-most weeks at No. 1 among male artists in the chart’s history, which dates to March 1956, when the chart began publishing on a regular weekly basis. He was previously tied with Harry Belafonte and Drake with 37 weeks each. Among male artists, the leaders are: Elvis Presley (67 weeks), Garth Brooks (52), Michael Jackson (51), Elton John (39), Wallen (38), Belafonte and  Drake (37 each). Among all artists, The Beatles have the most weeks at No. 1, with 132 across 19 No. 1 albums.

The KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack returns to its peak on the Billboard 200, as it climbs 3-2 with 93,000 equivalent album units earned (up 4%) — its best week yet by units earned.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER collects its seventh top 10-charted effort as The Star Chapter: TOGETHER debuts at No. 3. The set earned 65,000 equivalent album units in its first week. Album sales comprise 62,000 of that sum (it debuts at No. 1 on Top Album Sales), SEA units comprise 3,000 (equaling 4.23 million on-demand official streams of the set’s songs) and TEA units comprise a negligible sum. The album’s first-week sales were bolstered by its availability across 24 CD variants (all with collectible ephemera, some randomized, inside its packaging).

Tyler, The Creator’s DON’T TAP THE GLASS falls 1-4 in its second week on the Billboard 200, with 59,000 equivalent album units earned (down 70%). Justin Bieber’s SWAG rises 6-5 (52,000, down 28%).

YoungBoy Never Broke Again achieves his 16th top 10-charted album on the Billboard 200, as MASA enters at No. 6. The set earned 49,000 equivalent album units in its first week, with SEA units comprising 48,000 of that sum (equaling 69.15 million on-demand official streams of its songs — it debuts at No. 4 on Top Streaming Albums). Album sales comprise a little under 1,000 (it was only available to purchase as a standard widely available digital download) and TEA units comprise a negligible sum.

With a 16th top 10, YoungBoy Never Broke Again ties Jay-Z and Nas for the third-most top 10 albums among hip-hop artists. Only Future (with 18) and Drake (17) have more among hip-hop acts. (Among all artists, of all genres, The Rolling Stones have the most top 10s, with 38.)

Tyler Childers scores his highest-charting album, and third top 10, on the Billboard 200 with the No. 7 launch of Snipe Hunter. The set earned 48,000 equivalent album units in its first week. Album sales comprise 27,000 of that sum (it debuts at No. 2 on Top Album Sales), SEA units comprise 20,500 (equaling 26.14 million on-demand official streams of its songs — it debuts at No. 20 on Top Streaming Albums) and TEA units comprise about 500.

Snipe Hunter’s first-week sales were aided by its availability across seven vinyl variants, along with a widely available standard CD and digital download.

The album was preceded by the radio-promoted single “Nose on the Grindstone,” which climbs to No. 18 — a new peak — on the Adult Alternative Airplay chart.

Rounding out the top 10 of the latest Billboard 200 are Alex Warren’s You’ll Be Alright, Kid (falling 5-8 with 47,000 equivalent album units, down 35%); JACKBOYS and Travis Scott’s former No. 1 JACKBOYS 2 (4-9 with 46,000, down 41%); and Ozzy Osbourne’s The Essential Ozzy Osbourne (7-10 with nearly 46,000, up 5%).

Luminate, the independent data provider to the Billboard charts, completes a thorough review of all data submissions used in compiling the weekly chart rankings. Luminate reviews and authenticates data. In partnership with Billboard, data deemed suspicious or unverifiable is removed, using established criteria, before final chart calculations are made and published.

Soulja Boy was arrested early Sunday morning (Aug. 3) in Los Angeles after police say they discovered a firearm during a traffic stop.

The 35-year-old “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” rapper, whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way, was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over around 2:35 a.m. at Melrose Ave. and Genesee Ave., Billboard confirmed with the Los Angeles Police Department. Officers spotted a firearm in the vehicle and following an investigation, Soulja Boy was arrested and booked on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, authorities said.

It was unclear at press time what led to the traffic stop. Additional details about the firearm or whether others were involved remain unknown.

Billboard has reached out to Soulja Boy’s representatives for comment.

The rapper had been active on social media over the weekend, sharing multiple videos on his Instagram Story, including clips outside his SODMG store in L.A., inside a recording studio, and from his birthday celebration at Poppy nightclub.

This incident marks the latest in a series of legal troubles for Soulja Boy. Earlier this year, a Los Angeles court held him liable in a civil lawsuit brought by a former personal assistant who accused him of rape, awarding the woman $4 million in damages. In 2023, he was also ordered to pay ex-girlfriend Kayla Myers $471,900 in connection with an assault and kidnapping lawsuit filed in 2020.

In March 2019, Soulja Boy was arrested for violating probation related to a 2014 weapons conviction. The following month, he was sentenced to 240 days in jail and 265 hours of community service.

Osheaga has a knack for booking budding superstars right as they blow up. Last year, it was Chappell Roan. This year, it was Doechii.

The Grammy-winning, Florida-born rapper took the stage on the first night of the Montreal music festival on Friday (Aug. 1), and it felt like a star-making performance. The Killers headlined the mainstage, but unlike Chappell Roan, who played for 40,000 people at 3:30 in the afternoon last year, Doechii did have the honor of closing out the festival on the secondary Forest Stage.

Her set was pushed back slightly to start at 10:10 p.m., meaning she was the final performer of the night before the noise curfew at 11 p.m. And for those who wanted to catch both acts, The Killers made it easy by playing their belt-along favorite “Mr. Brightside” as their first song and packing the first hour of their two-hour, 9:10 p.m. set with hits.

Doechii’s stage set was decked out to fit her Swamp Princess persona, covered in greenery and a large, elevated swampy platform for her to stand on. The crowd was packed in, so the fans stuck at the back still had a visual feast. “I look good from the nosebleeds,” she rapped from her 2025 hit “Nosebleeds,” and this show proved it.

For a full hour, Doechii kept the energy up. She rapped a mile a minute, all live with almost no reliance on a backing track. She showed off her full skill set, from pure hip-hop to sung R&B/pop hooks, and comedic banter to thought-out stagecraft. She brought unbridled charisma, taking time to dance and twerk and show off some vogue moves as well. She showed off a reverence for classic hip-hop, rapping over Wu-Tang’s “C.R.E.A.M.,” and later screaming over a distorted guitar sample — almost veering towards nu-metal. She showed she can do it all.

The audience stayed captivated, rapping along and matching her energy throughout. It was Doechii’s first time in Canada, and you could tell she was impressed by the reaction. “As an artist, you can get so much hate and negativity,” she said. “Then you go out in real life and see your real fans.”

She took some time to thank her gay fans, her female fans, and the fans who brought their boyfriends. “If your boyfriend hates female rappers, then leave him immediately,” she said.

Seeing all the phones out, she seized her moment. “Ya’ll can’t be scared to stand up for what you believe in, you can’t be scared to say what matters,” she said. “Free Palestine.”

Doechii broke out her biggest hit, the Billboard Hot 100 top-10 charting “Anxiety,” and thanked all her fans for streaming it. The “Somebody That I Used To Know” sampling song is a bit of an outlier in her catalogue, but it’s a viral TikTok favourite, and she’s found a way to fit it perfectly into her set. After playing the song, she thanked Gotye for approving the sample.

The true highlight of the set was “Denial Is a River.” The song, which features Doechii rapping with her internal monologue, took on a whole new call-and-response dimension with fans chanting along to every word.

It felt like she was still just getting started when, midway through the next song, the beat cut out. “F— that, they cut me off!” she yelled. She put her thumbs down, inciting the crowd to boo, then threw her hands up. “Whatever,” she said, walking off the stage.

Unfortunately, Osheaga has a hard 11 p.m. noise curfew. It’s clear the next time she’s back, she’ll have to have a longer headliner-length set.

Doechii performs tonight (Aug. 2) at Lollapalooza in Chicago, where she’s teased a special guest. If Osheaga was anything to go by, her set will likely be all over social media soon.
