Sean Ono Lennon and longtime girlfriend Charlotte Kemp Muhl announced the birth of their first child, a boy, on Tuesday night (Sept. 1). The news came in an Instagram post from the couple in which they proudly cradled their bundle of joy between them with the caption, “@charlottekempmuhl and I have created a Human Bean! His name is Aurelius. Thank You!”
In the snap, Ono Lennon is wearing a black shirt, black sailor’s cap and black eyeglasses, as Muhl stands beside him a flowing white top, with Aurelius splitting the difference as he sleeps in Ono Lennon’s arms in a black and white striped onesie.
The newborn is the first grandchild of Yoko Ono and late Beatle John Lennon, who was murdered by shooter Mark David Chapman outside The Dakota apartment building in New York on Dec, 8, 1980 when Ono Lennon was just five years old.
Ono Lennon, 50, shared several other snaps, including on in which he stares intently into the lens while snuggling with Aurelius, as well as one of partner of nearly 20 years Muhl, 39 — an American-born model and Ono Lennon’s bandmate in The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger — having some quiet chest-nap time with the little man next to the caption “Baby Momma!“
Muhl also celebrated the joyous day with a series of arty snaps with her son, including one in which he’s lying on her chest in a Baby Bjorn as she stares up at the camera while holding a small crab in one hand. Her photo roll also included the close-up of Ono Lennon with Aurelius, as well as images of her standing in a lake in a billowing white dress with Aurelius strapped to her chest. The series ends with a serene close-up of the baby’s face as she sleeps peacefully on a blanket.
“We made a human! Am convinced DNA is agentic alien quaternary code,” Muhl wrote in the caption. “The sleep deprivation only adds to the surrealism…Burping technique tips welcome. Been playing him Aphex Twin and Stravinsky. Meconium is crazy.”
The couple got well-wishes from a number of musicians and actors, including drummer Zak Starkey — son of John Lennon’s Beatles bandmate Ringo Starr — who wrote “Amazing,” as well as actresses Liv Tyler and Ione Skye, Bijou Phillips and John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s former publicist, Elliot Mintz, who wrote, “there are some moments in life that are perfect. this is one of them.” In addition, punk godmother Patti Smith wrote, “Oh Sean I’m so happy for you both,” while Dominic Fike posted a series of heart emoji.
Earlier this year, Ono Lennon released the third studio album with his longtime collaborator, Primus’ Les Claypool, as the Claypool Lennon Delirium, The Great Parrot-Ox and the Golden Egg of Empathy.
Kacey Musgraves had the best time during her two-night stand at New York’s Madison Square Garden, including on Tuesday night (Sept. 1), when she finally got to sing her “Easy” duet with Troye Sivan live on stage for the first time. The Australian singer was a surprise guest during the second night of Musgraves’ MSG stand, popping out to perform the tune in brown leather pants with silver rivets down the front and a brown plaid shirt under a chocolate-covered vest.
The two circled each other on stage, singing, “I can’t even look at you/ Would you look at the space just next to your feet?/ The wood is warping/ The lines distorting/ This house is on fire, woo!/ Burning the tears right off my face/ What the hell did we do?/ Tell me we’ll make it through” as the crowd howled in excitement.
The onstage team-up comes nearly six years after Musgraves and Sivan dropped a remix of “Easy” featuring producer Mark Ronson and a 2020 Bardia Zeinali-directed video in which the pair played a couple of friends on the run. Sivan released the original version of “Easy” on his August 2020 In a Dream EP. The pair have a long history of collaborations, first getting together in 2019 for “Glittery,” the high-energy duet from The Kacey Musgraves Christmas Show special, then again for “Easy” and now for the live debut of the song.
Sivan posted a fun backstage clip of their collab on TikTok cued to his song “She’s the Best,” in which the pair struck poses and slow danced next to each other while mouthing the lyrics “that girl, that girl, that girl, that girl, that girl.”
The night before, Musgraves paid tribute to late country icon Dolly Parton, who died last week at 80. Musgraves called Parton a “supernova of a person” and said she was “never gonna be over” the country legend’s death before performing a lively cover of Parton’s 1981 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “9 to 5.”
Musgraves’ Middle of Nowhere tour will move on to Philadelphia’s Xfinity Mobile Arena on Friday (Sept. 4).
When Sombr returns to Australia and New Zealand next year, he’ll play the biggest arenas in both markets.

Frontier Touring is producing the trek, which gets underway April 13 at Adelaide’s AEC Arena, followed by Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena (April 15), Brisbane Entertainment Centre (April 19), Sydney’s Afterpay Arena (April 22) and coming to a halt April 27 at Auckland’s Spark Arena.

His 2026 release “Homewrecker” went to No. 6.
Sombr has been hot stuff in his homeland, too. His debut album I Barely Know Her peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 last September, and “Homewrecker” and 2026 release “Potential” both charted on the Billboard Hot 100.

Dolly Parton’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame will be replaced after it was targeted by vandals just a week after her death, aged 80.
Images and videos shared on social media show that Parton’s name on the plaque has been obscured by multiple dark scratches. The damage doesn’t appear to be random.
Ana Martinez, a spokesperson for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, tells TMZ that repairs were already scheduled due to previous cracks found in Parton’s award.
The Hollywood Historic Trust, which grants and maintains the stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, wrote on Instagram that it is “proud to honor the legacy of Dolly Parton with a replacement of her star.” The new landmark will be available for viewing this Friday.
The queen of country first received a star during a ceremony June 14, 1984, a dual presentation with actor Sylvester Stallone while they promoted their feature film Rhinestone. It is this award, which bears a record icon, which was damaged and has since been removed.
She received a second star in 2018 alongside Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt for their work together in the informal supergroup, Trio.
Parton’s death on Aug. 25 was met with a global wave of tributes, from fans to fellow artists and even world leaders. The country music superstar’s catalogue experienced a 1,143% gain in official on-demand streams in the United States week over week following her Aug. 25 death, according to Luminate.
As fans remembered Parton by turning to her music, a swag of her classic songs returned to Billboard’s charts. Her classic “Jolene” returned to the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 16. That’s easily a new high for the single, which originally reached No. 60 in 1974.
Also crashing the Hot 100 is “9 to 5” (No. 16), Parton’s Kenny Rogers duet “Islands in the Stream” (No. 26) and “Here You Come Again,” while “I Will Always Love You” blasts to No. 1 on Digital Song Sales, and Ultimate Dolly Partonreturns to the Billboard 200 at No. 5.
Any dedicated Swiftie can tell you more than you’d ever really want to know about Taylor Swift‘s famous trio of adorable cats. But in a new ad for Tommy Hilfiger, husband Travis Kelce introduces the world to the couple’s first canine companion. The 36-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end is one of the sports and fashion stars who appear in the fall campaign ad filmed at New York’s Plaza Hotel, where the Super Bowl winner bumps into pals including model Gigi Hadid, tennis star Francis Tiafoe and former NBA all-star Carmelo Anthony.
But it’s Kelce’s fluffy white Samoyed that really steals the show in the two-minute ad, in which he rocks a gray hoodie and khaki coat while fist-bumping the Plaza doorman on the way in. Travis then daps up South Korean DJ/singer Peggy Gou, heads to his room for some quiet time with his canine — whose name Forbes confirmed is Wendy — and then runs into Hadid in the elevator. The hang ends with a bump-in with BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, also a Hilfiger ambassador, and a dinner featuring Tiafoe and Anthony before a street bump-in with the fashion icon himself.
Hilfiger posted some bonus footage of Kelce chilling and cuddling with Wendy on a white couch in one of the hotel’s suites, enjoying a hang-out, which like the ad, is cued to late KISS guitarist Ace Frehley’s 1978 hit cover of “New York Groove.” (Check out the full spot here).
Speaking to Vogue about the pooch, Kelce responded to the reporter gushing about how beautiful the dog is by beaming, “Are you kidding me? She lights up my day.” After the Hilfiger team mentioned wanting to include a canine in the campaign, Kelce said the dog he and Swift recently adopted was the perfect choice.
“We figured, why not her? She crushed it, and actually really fit into that Tommy aesthetic, too,” Kelce told the magazine. “Those are some of my favorite shots.”
In a statement about the campaign, Kelce added, “Tommy brought us into his world at The Plaza for this, and it doesn’t get more classic New York than that. There’s a magic to this city, and I love that you never know who or what’s around the corner. We had a blast tapping into that unique energy with a cast who truly embody the vibes that make this city so special.”
Rumors about the couple adopting a dog began to bubble up earlier this year — before their wedding at Madison Square Garden on July 3 — with footage appearing to show a white dog that looks like Wendy getting out of one of Swift’s black SUVs. With the addition of Wendy, the pet count in the Swift-Kelce household is now up to four, counting the singer’s three cats, Olivia Benson, Benjamin Button and Meredith Grey.
Dolly Parton is on course for her first-ever No. 1 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart following a posthumous surge in streams for her signature hit “9 To 5.”
Penned for the 1980 comedy film of the same name, the song stands as one of Parton’s most iconic and beloved numbers, and hit a new peak of No. 12 on last week’s chart (Aug. 28). Yet “9 to 5” is now striding towards the summit in the chart’s midweek update (Aug. 30), which would give the country music icon her maiden U.K. No. 1 single. In a press release, the Official Charts Company reports a 350% week-on-week increase in streams and sales.
Parton is also set for a major presence elsewhere in the upper reaches of the U.K. chart. Having previously reached No. 7 upon release, “Jolene,” her 1973 classic, is currently tracking at No. 2, while Kenny Rogers collaboration “Islands in the Stream” is up to No. 6.

Dolly Parton, One of Country Music’s Biggest & Brightest Icons, Dies at 80
Last Tuesday (Aug. 25), it was announced that Parton had died in Nashville at age 80 after a brief battle with cancer. The singer, songwriter and philanthropist had been mostly out of the public eye for the past 12 months following a struggle with unspecified health issues that forced her to cancel a planned 2025 Las Vegas residency.
In honour of an illustrious career spanning several decades, in 2024, Parton was named the top country artist of all time by Billboard staff. She also landed 49 albums in the top 10 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, the most of any woman. 2023’s Rockstar, a collection of rock covers and originals with appearances from Paul McCartney, Elton John, goddaughter Miley Cyrus and more, debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, marking her pinnacle on the chart.
Elsewhere on the midweek update of the Official U.K. Singles Chart, Alex Warren could land two new entries in the top 40 following the release of his second album, Wildchild. “Cry Wolf” currently lands at No. 21, while “Emerald Eyes” follows at No. 23. Dua Lipa’s 2024 track “Training Season” is also set for a return to the chart, currently at No. 36 following the release of her Training Season’s Over EP, which features multiple live versions of the song.
Olivia Rodrigo could meanwhile add another chart entry with “Serena Joy,” her politically-charged track named after the character from The Handmaid’s Tale. The song lands at No. 39 following Rodrigo’s appearance at this past weekend’s Daisy Chains Festival in Irvine, California, where she performed it live.
